From Draft to Done for Aspiring Authors

You write ... poetry, prose, fiction, memoir - now what? Where are your writings? Would you like to see them pulled together? This workshop is all about motivation, inspiration and possibility. We will talk about the many options that are available for you to capture your words effectively and creatively. We will discuss all the possibilities ... journals, blogs, chap books, traditional publishing and self-publishing. We will also talk about techniques and the sparks that encourage the flow. And of course, no workshop on writing would be complete without actually DOING it - that's the fun thing. As time allows, we will work with prompts and share what transpires. Materials required - pen and whatever you like to write in. Requirements: The enjoyment of writing and desire to do something with your words. BIO: Ev Scott has been passionate about words and writing her entire life. That passion has necessitated figuring out what to do with them. No attractive blank journal is safe around her. Beyond that, she has self-published magazines and five trade books - three anthologies, an autobiography for a 98 year old and a book of personal letters. And she's not done. She is currently leading Seniors' writing courses through Stratford 3rd Age Learning and living a creative life on a farm just outside of St. Marys
